What to Expect
The VPC General Operator handles daily vehicle processing activities at McLaren's Baltimore Vehicle Preparation Center under the supervision of the VPC Operations Supervisor. This role ensures efficient vehicle movement, preparation, and care throughout the VPC process.
What You'll Do
  • Process vehicles through the VPC, including lot receiving, vehicle movement, and staging for shipment.
  • Perform carwash operations to maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Conduct polishing and minor paint preparation work to ensure vehicles meet McLaren's appearance standards.
  • Complete PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) checklist administration accurately and thoroughly.
  • Install VPC accessories as directed by the VPC Operations Supervisor.
  • Support logistics operations, including vehicle loading and coordination with carriers.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and organisation in vehicle processing areas.
  • Report any vehicle damage or quality concerns to the VPC Operations Supervisor immediately.

What You'll Bring

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 

  • Previous experience in automotive operations, vehicle processing, or related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's licence with clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate vehicles safely and with care.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and checklist completion.
  • Physical ability to perform vehicle washing, polishing, and movement activities.
