Purpose of Role

The Connected Services Operations Engineer role is within McLaren Automotive’s Connected Services team, under Product Development department. Our team is responsible for development and delivery of Connected Services and Cyber Security solutions for cross-carlines of McLaren vehicle product range

Principal Accountabilities
  • Participating in the end-to-end System V product development cycle for McLaren's Connected Services
  • Acting as a bridge between Connected Services development and customer use
  • Managing production-facing issues and environments systematically
  • Proactively preparing operational phase readiness for product delivery platforms, including defining processes and organizational requirements
  • Planning and executing SW update campaigns for connected car platforms
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of Connected Services to customers
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Awareness of Software development process and System V lifecycle
  • Experience working in Connected Car team and awareness of new generation vehicle connectivity features and solutions is a plus
  • Awareness of Connected Car, MNO and TSP general functional architecture
  • Experience in managing production/ customer facing environment interfaces
  • Experience creating, tracking, and managing engineering, aftersales, quality concern tickets
  • Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps experience is a preferred
  • Experience of issue resolution planning and stakeholder communications
  • Professional project status/ issues reporting with risk mitigations and target planning
  • Experience defining and managing SLAs with internal and external partners
  • Awareness of DevOps practices, SDLC, Agile and matrix organization work culture
  • Familiar with vehicle architectures and networking

  • A UK vehicle driving license
