Purpose of Role

You will be responsible for building and maintain a complex cluster of Infotainment test rigs. 

Principal Accountabilities
  • Design mechanical and electrical components, and work with the software team to ensure maximum capability and future-proofing of the test rigs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and be hands-on in the development of test rig capabilities.
  • Own the test rig testing area, ensuring high standards of operation are maintained.
  • Work with the custom automation testing framework to author and maintain the test case library, building test coverage over time to validate requirements and reproduce reported software bugs.
  • Develop test reports and dashboards to effectively communicate with different key stakeholders throughout the business.
  • As an Infotainment Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and verifying the functionality and performance of infotainment systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Must Have:

  • Practical knowledge of vehicle networks (CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and LIN)
  • Capable of building robust harnesses
  • Comfortable with Linux based operating systems
  • Hardware and software debugging experience
  • Test requirement authoring and management
  • Able to design and build custom electrical circuits

Desirable:

  • Experience with Simulink modelling environment
  • Working with automate testing toolchains
  • Data analysis (MATLAB, Vector tools)
  • Development timing plans
  • Authoring of test reports
  • Working with suppliers
