Purpose of Role

The Tax Analys is responsible for ensuring compliance with a variety of Tax Authority Regulations, ensuring the submission of tax returns and the continued compliance of the Automotive Business with it's regulatory obligations

Principal Accountabilities
  • Responsible for gathering the information to prepare the monthly UK and overseas VAT Returns
  • Responsible for ensuring proper taxation of inbound and outbound goods including daily customs clearance of goods for freight agents
  • Regularly perform audits on the finance system to ensure data integrity for tax; resolution of any discrepancies that might adversely impact on the Automotive Authorised Economic Operator status.
  • Provide robust analysis and support for tax processes including vehicle uage and temporarily imported for service 
  • Verify account balances by performing reconciliations on tax general ledger accounts
  • Provide support for the monthly and year end provisions
  • Provide support to the tax manager on general matters including corporation tax return preparation.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Technical skills - Microsoft Excel.
  • Finance Experience in a similar role not essential but desirable.  Previous tax knowledge is not a pre-requisite although awareness of basic concepts may be helpful
  • Strong Analytical skills - has ability to identify and access relevant data, and make appropriate assumptions
  • Ability to present information professionally & concisely with supporting data.
  • Ability to work effectively & independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
