What to Expect
Reporting to the Head of Software, the Software Manager will lead a team of control software and AUTOSAR basic software engineers working to define, design and deliver a basic software platform, body software functions such as vehicle access, climate control, power management, lighting control, chassis and interdomain functions etc.,. The software manager will ensure that the team is resourced and structured to deliver across multiple parallel programmes, delivering to quality and timing.
What You'll Do
• Manage the delivery of the Basic Software platform for in-house delivered modules.
• Lead implementation of AUTOSAR application software in MATLAB Simulink/Stateflow.
• Lead SW component testing using MIL and SIL techniques.
• Software requirement definition and analysis.
• Promote good model-based software practice to ensure reliable, maintainable, and safe code across all software components and control units.
• Management and mentoring of control software engineers.
• Management of external headcounts for both delivery and commercial.
• Work cross-functionally to deliver software components and ensure components are delivered from other function groups.
• Work with the DevOps team to ensure toolchains are in place and effective.
• Work closely with Software Technical Project Managers and / or Vehicle Line Managers to ensure SW delivery is on time, accurately reported and budgeted.

What You'll Bring
• Degree level education in a relevant Engineering discipline – electronic, mechanical, automotive etc.
• Experience in leading a team of engineers, including task and people management.
• Model-based, auto-coded software prototyping and production implementation.
• Support vehicle software testing and calibration.
• Excellent control theory, automotive electronic communication and software background
• Good knowledge of controls and calibration of automotive systems
• Excellent knowledge of body systems at System Architecture Level
• Software requirements capture and detailed software design into specifications
• Model-based control software development and verification
• AUTOSAR software components generation and integration
• Verification testing in MIL, SIL and HIL environments, and in-vehicle integration
• Compliance to industry standards such as ISO26262 and ASPICE
• Demonstrative control experience
• Good awareness of AUTOSAR BSW development.
