Purpose of Role

To work as part of the McLaren Quality Operations team producing road cars and verifying the quality of finished product through our Quality Validation processes. This area includes Monsoon, NVH Shakedown, Underfloor inspection and our Q Gate 2 downscore / rework confirmation process. 

Principal Accountabilities
  • Performing inspection and downscore of reworked vehicles to ensure quality remains consistent.
  • Inputting and maintaining data into QA Database.
  • Performing torque checks on various fixings.
  • Performing vehicle inspection post Monsoon process.
  • Performing underbody / engine bay inspection after Shakedown.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Understanding and experience in a quality / manufacturing / process driven environment ideal.
  • Expertise of working to process instructions.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Good understanding of quality standards and working to them.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools where required.

  • Must have a valid drive license (Clean).
  • Ability to work well in a team or autonomously as required.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Be willing to work shifts, weekday and weekend overtime.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external customers of all levels.
  • Ability to work methodically and logically.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
