And the search for perfection is evident in everything we do. To ensure McLaren Automotive continues its desire to be “the sportscar company” we are looking for an Skilled Inspector to join the team. Purpose of the role: To perform New Model inspection along with various other inspections such as Body assembly Engine bay Torque assurance monsoon and function check. Also to perform quality audits (BPA to ensure concerns are identified that defects are not released to the market).
Principal Accountabilities
Principal Accountabilities: Performing in process checks for gap and flush surface finish wiring looms pipe clearances grommets and critical torques. Performing paint inspection on painted panels within the paint shop Performing inspection on reworked vehicles to ensure quality remains the same Function checking finished vehicles to ensure all systems are functioning properly Conducting and signing off water tests Performing torque checks on critical fixings Presenting results of these actives to business units Inputting and maintaining data into SAP system database General BIQ inspections. To liaise with the lead inspector for faults management To help with ordering of tooling and to identify missing items required for process. To identify faults and sign off items within parts capability.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Knowledge skills and experiences: Significant level of experience in an OEM or tier one automotive environment Expertise in working to processes Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications Good understanding and interpreting of quality and paint standards Understand process writing. Knowledge of MPA scoring system. MVP management COP – FIR knowledge

Personal Attributes: Must valid driving licence (Clean) Strong communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external customers of all levels. Ability to work methodically and logically Ability to work well within a team or autonomously as required Be willing to do overtime when required Strong character A motivated individual who takes pride in what they do The ability to work under pressure
