What to Expect

Reporting to the Quality Compliance Manager, this is a pivotal role that encompases the indipendance and objectivity necessary to effectively assess all functions and departments to ensure all certified McLaren Automotive products consistently meet applicable government regulatory requirements. This is a supporting role to the Quality Compliance Manager to supervise a team of engineers and coordinators who assess the business if consistently operate within the defined key business processes that are part of the established Quality Management System (QMS). The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting to ensure smooth operation of the function whilst the business and all certified products are continuously compliant.

As the COP, ELV, RRR, CSMS and QMS Business Process Owner (BPO) you will be colaborating with all levels in the company to ensure consistent following of processes, effective communication, risk analysis and mitigation enabling uninterupted flow of completed vehicles in to sales.


What You'll Do


  • Support manage a team of effective compliance engineers and coordinators
  • Support in developing and mainteining necessary skills within the compliance team
  • Support managing operational budgets (define, forecast, assess, monitor)
  • BPO of effective and efficient Government Regulations Compliance (GRC) processes
  • Develop effective process and business KPI’s that demonstrate status, drive action from all stakeholders  and ensures transparency and objectivity
  • Effective ‘consultancy based’ support of all areas of the business and ensure compliance of all products and QMS
  • Communication with the relevant authorities to effectively manage all activities associated with product compliance
  • Creation and assessment of the COP Control Plan for all variants in series production (ensure is appropriately maintained)
  • Regular ELV/RRR compliance assessments and coordinate follow-up activities to ensure all products remain compliant in series production.
  • Internal auditing process – ensure effective business assessment against the IATF standard to drive best business practices are incorporated in the key processes of the QMS.
  • Maintain the company certification to the IATF 16949 automotive standard
  • Timely resolution of any inconsistencies and/or non-compliances
  • Proactively assess existing processes for continuous improvement
  • Responsible for the delivery of continuous improvements to the compliance frelated processes and systems
  • Generate progress status reports and communicate to the business effectively including preparation of weekly and monthly KPI’s. Investigate deviations from agreed standards.

What You'll Bring

Essential Functional / Technical Skills


 Experience in analysing and interpreting product related data
 Proficient in Continuous Improvement approaches
 Understanding of the Total Quality Management methodology and principles
 Project management skills are desirable
 Knowledge of COP and ELV / RRR regulatory requirements applicable to passenger cars is essential
Understanding of REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals), SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) and GADSL (Global Automotive Declarable Substance List) is essential
 Qualified ISO/TS Lead Auditor is beneficial
 Applicable knowledge of the ISO/TS 16949 automotive standard is beneficial
 University Degree is required
 Understanding and application of the Quality Tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA)
 IT skills are essential (MS Office)
 Power Bi & SAP
