What to Expect
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the delivery of ADAS safety systems within an OEM. 
You will be responsible for the design and development of Front Camera and Radar fusion system with the delivery of Lane features, TSR – Traffic Sign Recognition, AEB – Automated Emergency Braking features to name a few. 
You will define the features, attributes, system design and validation requirements from the early concept stages. 
You will work on ADAS product roadmaps and technology demonstrators to help define how McLaren utilises advanced ADAS technologies in the future. 
As a Senior ADAS Engineer, you will be responsible for: system specification, DFMEA, functional safety, BoM management, validation planning, test specification, vehicle verification & validation. 
For your systems, you will be responsible for delivering all required elements of the McLaren Development Process (MDP) to agreed gateway timings & cost. You will have multi system, multi vehicle responsibility and will help shape the vehicle electrical architecture.


What You'll Do
• Lead ADAS feature delivery from concept through to production, define and manage ADAS feature scope and content, translating customer, programme, regulatory, and safety requirements into clear system-level and component-level deliverables. 
• Drive requirements elicitation and management, working closely with stakeholders to capture, review, validate, and maintain functional, performance, safety, diagnostic, and interface requirements. 
• Support DFMEA, functional safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance activities, ensuring risks are identified, documented, mitigated, and tracked throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Define and manage validation strategies for ADAS features, including DVP creation, test planning, vehicle-level validation, rig testing, simulation, calibration, and end-of-line production checks.
• Coordinate supplier development and validation activities, ensuring test plans, validation evidence, issue resolution, and release maturity support programme gateways and production readiness.
• Track supplier progress against project milestones, proactively identifying risks to timing, quality, cost, or technical performance and escalating where required.
• Ensure readiness for production launch, supporting manufacturing, end-of-line & diagnostic processes, service requirements, homologation evidence, and production software/hardware release.

What You'll Bring
• Higher degree qualified in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Good amount of experience of ADAS feature system design & development, systems engineering & engineering V-lifecycle within an OEM or tier 1.
• Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: ADAS Sensor Fusion systems, mono & stereo camera systems, Radar systems, functional safety (ISO26262).
• System and requirements management tool experience: Doors, Jama.
• Possesses solid understanding of global ADAS regulations and standards, ensuring compliance, supporting homologation, and aligning development activities with regional and international requirements.
• Documentation of Technical Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, Timing Plans.
• Electronics architecture experience (harness, CAN/LIN protocols, ECUs, sensors) in an automotive environment.
• Experience with Vector automotive products (or equivalent) e.g. CANoe, CANape, CANalyser.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications, SAP systems.
• Experience in ADAS sensor calibration and tuning is a plus.
