Reporting to the Senior Manager of Production Planning within the Production Planning & Control team, the Senior Production Planner will play a vital role in executing the direction for the McLaren Production Centre (MPC) by engaging the relevant stakeholders and delivering a viable production plan, which satisfies the requirements of the sales plan and overarching business imperatives.
Working in a cross-functional setting, you will contribute to overall departmental goals and company profitability by proactively working closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the business.
· Support with the delivery of departmental KPIs to ensure the required activities are completed to the required standard in the defined timescales
· Create, maintain, and own operational and project reports
· Effectively communicates and liaises with cross functional teams on successful implementation and completion of projects, continuous improvements, and action plans
· Support with actions from the daily team/operations meetings, ensuring effective execution by members of the team for timely resolutions to emerging challenges
· Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
· Use benchmarking and other research methods to identify potential opportunities for the latest technology and methodologies to drive Best in Class performance and solutions
· Ownership of the generation and communication of the production volume plan for all assembly lines within MPC
· Support in defining the Manufacturing contribution to the S&OP process
· Ownership of planning contributions to vehicle development and launch gateways
· Analyse order intake data and communicate to relevant stakeholders
· Lead the constraint management process
· Define the weekly order sequence to ensure an effective and efficient load plan is delivered
· Manage changes to sales orders through sales order change management process
· Execute day-to-day SAP activities including generating, managing, and issuing production orders, MSO BOM updates, and executing and reviewing production plan updates in SAP
· Responsible for the demand, capacity and forecast generation and management through SAP
· Manage and maintain department working/operational documents
· Support new model, aftersales and development activities including SAP updates
· Manage day to day production plan and SAP related enquires
· Cover Production Planner/Senior Production Planner/Production Planning Manager when necessary
· Strong Excel and data manipulation & integration skills
· In depth SAP/ERP knowledge/experience
· Power BI knowledge

· Previous experience of working in an automotive, assembly or manufacturing environment
