We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Senior Legal Counsel specialising in Procurement and Commercial law to join our legal leadership team. This senior role is critical in supporting and shaping the organisation’s procurement and technology strategy, providing authoritative legal advice across complex, high‑value supplier and partnership arrangements.
The role has a broad commercial remit, spanning traditional procurement as well as strategically important projects such as connected car initiatives, technology and digital partnerships, software and data‑driven agreements, and brand‑related matters.
The successful candidate will lead negotiations on sophisticated commercial and technology contracts, advise on emerging legal and regulatory risks, and drive best‑practice standards in procurement governance, intellectual property protection and brand integrity.
Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, the Senior Legal Counsel will play a key role in enabling innovation while ensuring robust legal compliance, effective risk management and strong commercial outcomes across all supplier, technology and brand engagements.
- Act as a trusted advisor on complex procurement, commercial and technology matters across the organisation
- Partner with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver strategy in line with business priorities and risk appetite
- Lead legal input on high‑value, high‑risk and business‑critical supplier and partner engagements
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and governance frameworks
- Identify, assess and manage legal and commercial risks, enabling informed decision‑making by senior stakeholders
- Develop and embed best practice approaches to contracting, procurement governance and risk management Lead and mentor junior lawyers and/or legal professionals, providing guidance, feedback and development support
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Law, or a related field
- Minimum 6 years’ PQE qualified solicitor with experience in commercial contracts and procurement.
- Experience of complex supply chain management in multiple jurisdictions.
- In depth knowledge of procurement processes including supplier due diligence and contract governance.
- Experience in automotive or technology sectors.
