Purpose of Role

Lead the design of bespoke line delivery equipment for both current and future McLaren vehicle projects

Principal Accountabilities
  • §   Creation of bespoke line side equipment designs.
  • §   Creation of equipment visuals.
  • §   Logistics Facility layouts.
  • §   Manage the production and introduction of new equipment.
  • §   Support the Logistics Engineering team in the achievement of departmental budgets.
  • §   Lead and motivate a small team of design engineers
Knowledge, Skills and Experience


§   Experience as Industrial Design or Product Development Engineer

§   Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes.

§   3D CAD experience is essential, including experience of Catia and SolidWorks.

§   Knowledge of AutoCAD would be an advantage.

§   Ability to create new designs to meet project requirements and also to update and modify existing drawings.

§   Project management skills.

§   A degree in design or engineering would be considered an advantage.

§   Numerate & literate.

§   IT literate and have good organisation skills.

§   Competent in Excel.
