Purpose of Role

The Senior CI Analyst, reporting to the Internal Control and Continuous Improvement Finance Manager, will work to streamline workflows and deliver incremental improvements to data, systems and processes across all aspects of the Finance function.

While adhering to robust processes, the Senior CI Analyst will deliver changes in a structured manner to ensure continued seamless operation of the Finance team and wider business. The Senior CI Analyst will be integral in advancing the Finance function’s ability to evolve and enhance capability, through proactively identifying and realising opportunities for improvement through the effective utilisation of new technologies.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Assist in project managing & leading systems and process projects. Prioritising the activities of the project team, ensuring all deliverables are met within agreed timelines
  • Manage a portfolio of system and process change activities, prioritising across all areas of Finance
  • Be a champion of innovation. Identifying opportunities for improvement in our Finance systems and ways of working.  Continuous improvement of processes to maximise the benefits of the solutions and always looking at ways of automating processes
  • Streamline and drive automation across data provision, analytics, and financial reporting to reduce manual work while delivering value-add insight to key stakeholders, i.e., through utilising technical solutions such as SAP Hana and Microsoft Power Platform
  • Translate end-user requirements into detailed specifications
  • Take ownership of changes and transformation, from inception to aftercare. Managing sponsors and stakeholders at various levels of seniority and involvement
  • Run workshops and design sessions, collaborating with technical experts to elicit requirements from stakeholders, mapping functional specifications, and documenting processes
  • Propose, document, and help implement new processes to improve efficiency of the department and the broader business
  • Create, manage, and maintain content in the Finance SharePoint site
  • Being the primary contact for Finance Systems to support with query resolution and provide training where required
  • Support and participate in team knowledge sharing initiatives
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Strong experience of SAP Analytics Cloud, Excel, Microsoft Power Apps (including PowerBI and Power Query), SAP, SharePoint and connecting complex data sets.
  • Demonstrable experience of project management, leading and implementing small to large scale systems, process, and organisational change projects.
  • An ability to be able to communicate effectively, with senior stakeholders, end users and technical experts.
  • Experience in business analysis, root cause analysis, troubleshooting and technical problem resolution
  • Interface support with other SAP ERP Module and IT Solutions
