What to Expect

Purpose of the role:

In this capacity, your role and responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:

·       Support all aspects of Quality operations at McLaren Composites Technology Centre

·       Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality concerns are contained

·       Conduct product and process audits to ensure adherence to internal quality management system




What You'll Do

Principal accountabilities:

·       Conduct product and process audits across both shifts and product lines

·       Quality concern resolution via completion of line sweeps and controlling the hold/quarantine status of products

·       Participate in quality concern resolution practical problem-solving process (PPS) with engineering and production teams

·       Disposition non-conformances within the MCTC Manufacturing Execution System

·       Monitor and resolve issues on Quality equipment such as CMM, Scanning arms and Lab equipment

·       Utilisation of quality tools to support new product introduction and existing manufacturing programmes

·       Conduct product validation checks

·       Support non-standard material and product condition investigations

What You'll Bring

Knowledge, skills & experience:

·       Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is essential

·       Experience of working with composites manufacturing processes and in a quality role is advantageous

·       Understanding of automotive processes (APQP & PPAP) is advantageous but not essential

·       Awareness of appropriate health and safety standards is essential

·       PC literate with ability to process data in Microsoft excel

·       Knowledge of Automotive quality systems is advantageous § Experience of niche vehicle (low volume) programmes desirable Personal Attributes:

·       Passionate, enthusiastic and committed, with a can-do attitude

·       Effective communication and inter-personal skills

·       A keen eye for detail and customer focus is required

·       Self-driven individual, who can also work within a team

·       Self-directed/managed and motivated towards achieving goals

·       Comfortable to challenge peers

·       Valid Passport and Driving License

·       Good IT skills § Flexible approach to working
