Purpose of Role

As a Quality Specialist your role is to improve quality at the Inspection audit stations by carrying out Root Cause Analysis, ensuring that robust containments are introduced in a timely manner and working with other function groups within the business to identify long term countermeasures.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Primary analysis of production issues using 4M (Man, Method, Machine & Material) methodology.
  • Cross functional working with other manufacturing areas to implement robust containments.
  • Attendance at daily Quality Gateway meetings to feedback primary analysis results and agree next actions with cross functional manufacturing teams.
  • Data analysis of concerns to establish clear understanding of concern and impact to quality and production gateways.
  • Root Cause Analysis of concerns using McLaren’s problem-solving methodology
  • Application of quality tools to establish direct cause of concern
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing or similar industry
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A flexible approach to working with occasional travel involved (UK).
  • Good Self-management and Communication skills are essential to the role.
  • CATIA and GD&T experience is advantageous
  • Proven experience of working in a dedicated team environment as well as the ability to work as an individual
