Purpose of Role

As a Quality Project Engineer this role will deliver continuous improvement projects for the department, ensuring we evolve our approach, policies & procedures to remain effective. In addition, this role will be working with cross functional groups to deliver Quality improvement projects. As a Quality Project Engineer you will engage across all levels within the business.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Mange the problem-solving training system process. 
  • Lead departmental continuous improvement projects. 
  • Leading cross functional problem-solving projects. 
  • Create & maintain Quality Engineering policy & procedure library  
  • Support internal quality documentation management for internal and external audits. 
  • Maintain and evolve Quality Engineering SharePoint site.

  • Technical/engineering understanding and vehicle knowledge. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Strong administrator skills.  
  • Analytical skills and good judgement.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.   
  • Strong presentation skills.   
  • Ability to promote and drive continuous improvement.

  • Good understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality. 
  • Green belt or above six sigma qualifications are preferred. 
  • Ability to make and manage excellent relationships and network well within the business. 
  • Excellent PC skills including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. 
  • Experience and evidence of project management is required. 
  • A working understanding of SAP would be beneficial. 
  • Comprehensive problem-solving understanding (PPS/8D etc). 
  • MS SharePoint experience would be beneficial 
  • Prince 2/Agile certification would be beneficial
