What to Expect
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer - Complex Analysis to be based at our site in Woking

The primary objective of this role is to lead the investigation of Complex Issues arising within the life cycle of McLaren Automotive’s products. The Complex Analysis team is a centre of excellence for problem solving and you will be working to understand, contain, and root cause complex issues across the breadth of the company and product.  
What You'll Do
  • Utilise a range of Problem Solving tools to breakdown and define complex issues allocated to you.
  • Develop and implement containment actions to address the problem in short timeframes
  • Undertake 5-Why analysis of problems, utilizing experiments, analysis, and evidence to support your conclusions
  • Present progress updates and results to stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on problem solving techniques, providing coaching and reinforcing best practice across the business.
  • Step in to complex problems across the business to lead cross functional teams through the problem solving process 
What You'll Bring
Knowledge, skills & experience:
  • Experience of undertaking structured problem solving, preferably in an engineering / manufacturing environment
  • Engineering degree background, preferably mechanical, automotive, or motorsport (or equivalent experience) 
  • Experience using CAD software and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Confident in complex Data Analysis using MS Excel and Power BI
  • Working knowledge of FMEA and Design for Manufacture would be advantageous
  • Experience of successfully working as part of a cross functional team
  • Confident in presenting work / feedback to both higher and lower levels in the company
  • An ability to challenge others and their conclusions constructively
