To work as part of the McLaren Automotive Production Team producing road cars and controlling the activities of a group of Production Team Members to deliver a final product.
• Achieving the daily/annual volume throughput
• Contributing to achieving Quality standards, improving team members and processes by carrying out 4Ms and layered Audits weekly
• Control all Health & Safety requirements for persons and equipment within their work stations, including management of training, maintenance, and implementation of products
• Contributing to the maintenance, upkeep and reporting of the Business Development Plans (BDP’s) in your area
• Execution of methodologies for Lean Manufacturing
• Train & mentor Team Members to achieve high quality in working practices and processes
• Assist in the continuous improvement of production & business processes, i.e. quality, safety, cost, productivity
• Prepare for production by checking resource, equipment, tools, parts availability, consumables, etc.
• Assist the Group Leaders to produce maintenance schedules, monitor up time of machinery and ensure daily checks are conducted
• Take part in problem solving activities – assist in analysis & resolution of problems, define & determine appropriate actions.
• Ensure safe working practices are adhered to
• When required, aid the Group Leaders in conducting performance reviews for areas of your team who require improvement, considering training, regular reviews etc.
• Maintain and endorse McLaren values and lead by example
• No formal qualifications are necessary, however experience in Manufacturing and proven people coaching skills would be preferred.
• Understanding and experience in a manufacturing/process driven environment is essential.
• For some positions, specific skills may be required e.g. composite lay-up & reparation, vehicle repair etc.
• Must be able to demonstrate a broad job knowledge of automotive processes and specific skills for the area in question.
• Good level of knowledge for Microsoft Office packages.
