Purpose of Role

The Pricing Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all pricing operations for our global markets, underpinning company vehicle sales and revenue generation in line with the business financial imperatives.

The appointed individual will manage a direct team of 2 pricing analysts located in our headquarters in Woking, as well as indirect resource in our regional offices spread around the world.

The Pricing Operations Manager will take responsibility for creating and communicating commercially-driven, accurate and meaningful vehicle pricing for current and future models to support McLaren’s Horizon 2030 strategy.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Implement and manage the short and medium term Pricing business roadmap and processes for current vehicles and upcoming vehicle launches within the calendar year, to support McLaren Automotive’ s business growth
  • Manage a growing global team of Pricing analysts through the day to day operations, ensuring excellent communication and service being provided to a wide variety on internal stakeholders, as well as to our regional sales organizations, global retailer network, and customers
  • You will be responsible for the on-time delivery and implementation of all Pricing master data into our commercial business system (SAP), to enable accurate and correct invoicing of existing and new upcoming vehicles
  • Coordinate and manage the pricing accuracy during invoicing testing in our systems, and troubleshoot any issues to an effective solution accordingly
  • Manage cross-functional work with the Vehicle Configuration department, to ensure pricing rules in SAP are correct and accurate to support revenue generation
  • Lead and support ongoing systems change and development in SAP, to drive continuous improvement in efficiency and accuracy of Pricing processes and operations
  • Manage and communicate pricing for new models to all relevant internal stakeholders in a timely manner, and ensure accurate implementation and test validation in our systems prior to vehicle launch, guaranteeing delivery of pricing operations gateways within the McLaren Development Programme (MDP 2.0)
  • Manage and support the set-up of pricing data and processes within our systems for new opening markets
  • Manage and drive Options Uptake performance across all markets by conducting intensive analysis, identifying trends and opportunities, and developing sales-focused reporting, which motivates our regional sales teams and retailers to achieve ambitious targets and in turn increase revenue and profit for the business
  • Creation and distribution of all pricing related bulletins to our markets, including retail and wholesale pricing bulletins, Variable Bonus Margin, Options analysis and performance, and business letter
  • Represent the global pricing operations function within all business decision-making and steering committees, providing knowledge and expertise in all related subjects, to ensure operational direction meets the changing business needs
 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • University degree
  • Management and knowledge of commercial drivers and business processes
  • Operational vision, strategic thinking, and a passion for achieving targets
  • Experience of leading a team with different levels of experience
  • Knowledge of systems (SAP), data management, processes, and procedures
  • Proficient in advanced excel and managing complex data
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Ability to understand data, drive insights and translate it into business opportunities
  • Ability to develop and enhance process and spreadsheets of a complex nature
  • Experience of international commercial operations
  • Experience working within the premium automotive segment
