Purpose of Role

Are you experienced in partnerships and consumer goods and interested in working for one of the leading Supercar brands in the World?

Play a key part in the management and growth of the licensed consumer goods and partnerships program in the next critical phase of McLaren’s diversification into luxury lifestyle, technology and beyond.

The partnerships and licensing team are responsible for managing and securing all Global partnerships and product licenses for McLaren Automotive.  This includes working with some of the biggest and innovative brands in the World such as LEGO, DELL Technologies & Pirelli across a wide variation of industries.  The team are currently recruiting for an Account Specialist, Licensing & Partnerships to join them in supporting and managing a number of these key Global partners/Licensees, acting as the main point of contact for these clients.  The role reports into the Senior Licensing & Partnerships Manager and is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre. 

Principal Accountabilities
  • Main day-to-day contact for assigned Global Partners/Licensees
  • Manage those account relationships proactively, realising revenue and licensee/partner brand growth
  • Collaborate with partners and licensees on strategic marketing activation campaigns, support marketing execution, assess performance against agreed KPIs to deliver visible ROI
  • Deliver commercial growth from the relevant existing account portfolio to meet agreed annual sales targets, aiming for maximum market share
  • Successfully onboard new accounts – welcome new partners and licensees, set targets, define product portfolios, initiate campaign planning
  • Collaborate internally with key stakeholders across Racing, Marketing, PR, Product and Design to maximise partnership potential and exceed client expectations
  • Become to account expert for your assigned partners/ Licensees, building long-term working relationships and brand loyalty
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • 1-2 years of B2B account management experience 
  • Demonstrable record of successful revenue growth in directly-managed accounts in the Licensing and/or Partnerships/Sponsorships space
  • Proven track record of success in building long-lasting, strategic client relationships and in strategic network-building
  • Experience with Licensing or Partner marketing objectives, campaign planning and content development
  • Experience of working in cross-departmental teams or structures to deliver projects
