Purpose of Role
Reporting to the OpEx Improvement & Support Manager the SAP Specialist & Support Lead will advance the knowledge of system and user capabilities through the adherence of robust processes. Working with disciplines systems and business areas; proactively seek out opportunities for improvement and become the bridge between the business and the technical teams to deliver changes and new capabilities.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Focus engagement with Business process owners Key user and CoE leads
  • Gather business requirements & change requests to align process evolution and manufacturing applications to roadmap strategy
  • Capable to differentiate process versus application issues and drive relevant change management
  • Act as a coach and champion within the use of the system reinforce positive habits and overcome negative workarounds. 
  • Respond to SAP data incidents and issues & triage manufacturing systems issues following feedback from Key users & End users. 
  • Learn the system from the end-user application perspective; this includes SAP manufacturing applications and the associated business processes
  • Take ownership of changes and lead from inception to aftercare following the Continuous Improvement process
  • Identify and engage stakeholders and sponsors ensuring feedback is timely and effective
  • Participate in testing and validation of the new standards new processes and new functionality.
  • Participate in Business Process Management and audits workshops blueprinting and acceptance testing Identify opportunities for improving and communicating CIs requiring new/updated end user training and knowledge transfer working with the CoE/technical teams to identify and document solutions 
  • Provide high-quality mentoring knowledge transfer and training for manufacturing systems to the business Key users and end-users.
  • Establish and nurture a data aware culture that recognises the operational needs and benefits of excellent data quality throughout the organisation.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Can communicate effectively with both end users and technical teams & can select use language (technical or functional) as appropriate
  • Experience in troubleshooting and technical problem resolution
  • Can manage and lead several parallel initiatives at one time
  • Demonstrable experience of business analysis
  • Experience with large scale organisational change projects
  • Tailoring training to suit the needs of the trainee Project management experience Stakeholder management
  • Use of root cause analysis Application Lifecycle Management – understanding the process of implementing and supporting applications from requirements to deployment Experience of working in a fast-paced high-profile company
