Purpose of Role

This UK (MTC) based role is required to support vehicle NVH refinement and sound quality targets achievement for all McLaren Automotive programmes. As an NVH Testing Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for testing and troubleshooting a range of McLaren products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support NVH programme deliveries from prototype phase to customer launch.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Perform NVH measurements and subjective assessments for vehicle programmes development and validation
  • Independently provide root cause assessment and technical solutions of outstanding NVH concerns on vehicles under development and series production
  • Analyse NVH test data, prepare technical reports providing interpretation of results and recommendations when needed
  • Manage and maintain of NVH test equipment including data loggers and transducers
  • Support NVH benchmark and model correlation activities at vehicles and sub-systems
  • Work with other NVH engineers to support target setting and ensure targets are met at vehicle level
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Excellent knowledge and methodological approach to NVH testing and problem solving
  • Experience with NVH testing for operational measurements, modal analysis, transfer path analysis and noise source localization
  • Good driving and listening skills to perform vehicle subjective evaluations
  • Ability to use NVH test equipment and software such as SIEMENS Simcenter Testlab and HEAD Acoustics ArtemiS for data acquisition and analysis
  • Good written and oral English skills
  • More than 4 years direct OEM NVH experience in Automobile industry
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA
  • Experience with CANap and INCA would be an advantage
  • Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineering degree
