Purpose of Role

·        Guarantee:

o   the growth of the team on the technical competence and leadership.

o   a positive networking with all FGs: powertrain, body interior, body panels, body structure, Concept and Chassis to support component specification from attribute point of view developing clear and effective design guidelines

o   the continuous improvement in NVH simulation methodology and tools.

o   A constant push for innovative solutions.

·        Represent the NVH team at all level inside the business

·        Be responsible for the successful approval of all vehicle gateways until G4

  • Manage and motivate team to embrace Practical Problem Solving (PPS) in relation to solving all related issues


Principal Accountabilities

·        Lead the NVH Concept team to execute & fulfil the work package independently.

·        Lead the road mapping and target setting for all NVH attributes:

o   Engine Sound (Cabin and Exterior)

o   Powertrain noise

o   Road and impact noise and vibration

o   Wind and shape noise

o   Ride comfort

o   Squeak and Rattle

·        Improve capabilities of NVH simulation team to meet project requirement. Review all related NVH simulation report from technical side.

·        Provide qualified delivery of NVH Integration within agreed formats and timescales in time from project point of view.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

·        More than 5 years’ direct OEM experience in NVH integration, vehicle NVH performance target setting, brake down.

  • Proven problem solving and change management capability (PPS)
  • Experience of high and niche vehicle (low volume) programmes

·        Good Knowledge in all the simulation tools such as NASTRAN, Virtual Lab, ADAMS, GT POWER

·        Good oral English and communication capability


·        Master of engineering mechanics and related

·        PhD desirable;
