Purpose of Role

The European head of Sales role is responsible for ensuring the European region is empowered and capable of achieving its business targets and New & Used car sales volumes.

You will also work closely with the Regional Director to define annual sales volume targets for your dealer network and ensure the correct allocation, wholesale, retail and stocks levels are available across McLarens increasing range of cars.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Monitor the development of revenue, cost and profit. Initiate actions wherever possible or necessary to improve the profitability of the region and dealer network in both the short and long term.
  • Develop, steer and implement sales initiatives and bonus programmes for the region to ensure the sales targets are achieved. Ensure the sales programs are suitable for the relevant territories and markets.
  • Direct, motivate and develop the McLaren and Dealer sales team to ensure that objectives and priorities are met in an efficient manner and ensure that the team is operating at its full potential.
  • Ensure all European dealers conform to the Dealer Operating standards such as demonstrator policy, showroom standards and sales staffing levels. Where necessary implement and execute improvement plans
  • Responsible for long term management of Residual Values. Monitor using KPI’s that reference benchmark models in the Super Sports car niche segment.
  • Work cross functionally within the European office to integrate Commercial, Marketing and Public Relations plans.
  • Management, co-ordination and communication of finance and insurance offerings through McLaren Financial Services – working closely with the Factory Financial Services director and local Finance companies.
