- Someone with good attitude and understanding of the variance of the role from day to day, good skills in terms of working with equipment and data logging.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns on critical production equipment and fault find effectively.
- Carry out repair and preventative maintenance work on all production equipment.
- Apply practical problem solving to find continues improvements on equipment issues and maintenance aspects.
- Effective supervision of the Subcontractor activities as required.
- Compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy requirements within area of responsibility.
- Effective logging and documentation of reactive and planned maintenance tasks Assistance in the sign off Future Technologies to be utilised within MPC Source and order specialist components, fixtures, and fixings.
- Support the management and repeated assessment of onsite Critical spares. Support with planned maintenance activities during the production shut down Periods Create and update maintenance and equipment procedures
- Maintain and organise all asset documentation
Support the Process Techs on problem solving sometimes under pressure, on ensuring all Production build equipment within MPC (McLaren Production Centre) is fully operational and compliant. Following up with suppliers and recording data for review
- The ability to problem solve and good attitude/flexibility to working on many different aspects with McLaren Production Centre from Body assembly, Paint and General Assembly
- The ability to log data in terms of Mena time to repair/KPI.
- Electrical/Mechanical recognised engineering skills – will be subject to practical test i.e. NVQ Diploma / BTEC / HND / Apprenticeship
- Experience of fault finding and maintenance activity on PC, PLC and electromechanically controlled production equipment and the ability to use technical instruments when required.
- Robust experience in a similar role and industry.
- Experience in electrical cable repairs with an ability to solder and welding experience would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of automated control systems and manufacturing and process equipment is required.
- Ability to read technical drawings to include electrical, mechanical and when required 3D drawings of bespoke solutions and BOMs.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative but also cohesively within a small professional team.
