Purpose of Role

Reporting to the Group Leader within Logistics Operations, The Logistics Operations Team Leader will be responsible for the day to day running and ensuring a ‘good to run’ status for your area of responsibility with clear communication through your reporting line. You will be responsible for inspiring and motivating a team of up to 20 individuals, ensuring they are clearly aware of their day to day tasks as well as supporting them with their development and yearly goals.

Working in a cross-functional setting, you will contribute to overall departmental goals and company profitability by proactively working closely with 3PL’s, Production, Material Control, Quality and Engineering departments.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Be responsible for the Health and Safety of yourself and others, ensuring all incidents and near misses are reported to your H&S Representative
  • Lead a team of skilled individuals providing training, motivation, and support in delivering departmental imperatives
  • Support achievement of the departmental KPIs, ensuring required activities are completed to the required standard in the defined timescales
  • Effectively communicates and liaises within the department to successfully implement project, continuous improvements, and action plans.
  • Delegates actions from the daily team/operations meetings, ensuring effective execution by members of the team for timely resolutions to emerging challenges 
  • Undertake any other task as directed by their line Manager in connection with their job/appointment
  • Minimising warehouse stock outs through the management of a clear deck policy and accurate transacting of product in order to support our Inventory Control Team in achieving our Inventory Accuracy targets.
  • Use the provided KPI tools and reports to ensure we have a clear ‘Good to run’ status.
  • Attend key stakeholder meetings and follow escalation process to raise the alarm on any potential risks to production or KPI targets
