Purpose of Role

Creates and manages the MPA schedule on all new model and MSO vehicles, and leads the feedback of topics to the cross functional teams for resolution.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Performing an in-depth inspection audit of new model (pre Job 1), ultimate series and MSO vehicles released from the build process
  • Legislation Compliance Inspection
  • Paint Inspection
  • Exterior / Interior fit & finish inspection
  • Vehicle Function Check
  • Ensuring detailed instruction around audit scores, other activities and escalations are brought into daily start of shift / shift handover
  • Leading the MPA feedback meetings in both MPC and MSO
  • Raising QCRs / Quality Notification on all appropriate concerns based on severity
  • Supporting the pulling of data from the MPA database for use in daily meetings and daily startups
  • Inspecting vehicle reworks have been completed to a satisfactory standard.
  • Signing off vehicles and releasing them to FOK
  • Final buyoff of car post detail and wrap (where necessary)
  • Inputting and maintaining data within MS Access, Excel and Powerpoint documents for feedback to the business.
  • Supporting benchmarking activities as business needs require
  • Flexible approach to working and supporting off site if required (Chipping, Dealer visits etc.)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Significant level of expertise in an OEM or Tier One automotive environment.
  • Previous experience working within an operational quality role would be a distinct advantage
  • Expertise of working to processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Power BI knowledge would be a distinct advantage
  • Good understanding of Appearance and Attribute Quality standards (e.g. Paint, Leather, etc).
  • Comfortable with presenting in MPA meetings to upper management.
