Purpose of Role

Reporting to the Inventory Control Group Leader you will support the Logistics Systems and Inventory department, as well as work alongside the Production and Logistics’ team in auditing stock and investigating transactional accuracy.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Management & execution of the perpetual cycle counting process for both warehouse and lineside.
  • Management and overseeing the auditing of the transaction accuracy of materials through the logistic landscape onto the vehicle.
  • Carry out investigations of high value adjustments
  • Collate and communicate issues effectively to the relevant departments to drive improvement.
  • Oversee ad-hoc stock counts as requested, ensuring none are missed.
  • Oversee System cleansing – SAP Interim locations
  • Support the return of good parts back to stock identified through the non-conformance process, and ensure any failed Non Conformance tickets are reprocessed regularly
  • Support the return of obsolete Kanban stock back to the warehouse
  • Manage the investigation and resolution of all consumption errors to improve transactional accuracy and the processing of finished vehicles.
  • Working within the company Shift patterns. Either on a fixed or rotating system
  • Timely Population of the relevant KPI and reporting data as required.
  • Ensure issues are accurately captured to allow for effective communication to the relevant department to drive improvement.
  • Monitoring and managing time, attendance, and performance of team members.
  • Drive efficiencies in processes and promote continuous improvement within the team.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Detailed working understanding of Logistics and associated up and down stream processes
  • Previous experience within the manufacturing industry will be advantageous
  • Competent user of Warehousing Management Systems (SAP will be an advantageous) and Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to relate information clearly and accurately, verbally and in written form, in a positive manner that yields cooperation
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained on an ongoing basis and actively promote individual responsibility for health and safety.
  • Good communicator and able to manage up as well as down.
  • Development of key performance indicators.
  • Methodology of Route Cause Analysis
  • Experience within Shift work will be advantageous
