What to Expect
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The IT Solution Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of technology solutions that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. This role ensures that IT systems are scalable, secure, and integrated, while meeting business requirements. The Solution Architect acts as a bridge between business needs and technical execution, guiding development teams and stakeholders through the solution lifecycle.
What You'll Do

Develop Solution Architectures: Lead the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas
− Technical Assurance: Ensure the technical integrity of designs, recognizing reusable elements and avoiding unnecessary duplication 
− Change Programmes: Manage the programme’s target design, policies, and standards, working proactively to achieve and deliver stable, viable designs and solutions
− Coordination: Manage or coordinate the applicable architecture function within the organization, in conjunction with IT colleagues and partners 
− Evaluation and Selection: Use establish practices for selecting architecture designs and components and take responsibility for the strategy and methods used in implementing a solution architecture

What You'll Bring
− Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in solution architecture, including knowledge of tools and methods for developing architectures 
− Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to evaluate business requirements and translate them into solution and technical specifications 
− Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders across the business and ensure their needs are met 
− Leadership: Ability to lead and coordinate teams, ensuring consistency and quality in the architecture function and delivery of solutions
− Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring the solutions are effective and efficient
