We are recruiting for a Change Control Engineer to join our Total Quality Management department in Woking, As the Change Control Engineer you will coordinate the McLaren Automotive change process, which is applicable on changes to vehicle parts and the associated production processes. The core objective of the role is to manage and implement changes to vehicles in development and in series production that are the best-balanced solution to improving quality, protecting production plans, delivery time and the cost of McLaren Automotive products.
- Implementing engineering change to the product in line with the PCM processes to ensure accurate and appropriate change to McLaren Automotive products
- Liaising closely with all departments across the business involved in the product change management process to progress changes for the vehicle project and block changes
- Facilitating the product change management meetings to drive completion of actions from change stakeholders
- Generating progress status reports and communicate to the business effectively including preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly KPI’s and investigate all deviations from agreed standards
- Responsibility for coordinating a change control process for vehicle projects in development to ensure successful vehicle launches
- Responsibility for coordination of activities required to deliver the McLaren Automotive Block change process to allow for controlled implementation of change to vehicles in series development
- Conducting regular process and system reviews to ensure continuous improvement of the product change management process as part of the process ownership
- Experience of automotive production processes including vehicle manufacturing processes and supply planning (advantageous)
- Experience of vehicle product development life cycles including prototype build phases (advantageous)
- Knowledge of automotive parts and McLaren products advantageous (advantageous)
- Experience in Product Change Management/ Change Control (advantageous)
- Experience in Product Data and Bill of Material Management (advantageous)
- Degree of technical/analytical nature required or specific change control experience
- Experience of using SAP advantageous
- Experience of indirect stakeholder and workflow coordination (advantageous)
