What to Expect

Provide grounded regulatory guidance to MSO project teams, ensuring all MSO content meets market requirements. Translate regulations into clear engineering actions, advise on attribute and product‑liability implications, and facilitate individual vehicle inspections and sign‑offs.

What You'll Do
  • Interpret market regulations and convert them into clear engineering requirements, acceptance criteria and risks.
  • Provide day to day certification guidance to Project and Design Engineers.
  • Support main McLaren Homologation team where MSO-specific expertise supports core projects (e.g. market entry for few-off versions of core products)
  • Offer certification adjacent attribute guidance (safety, lighting, emissions, ergonomics, NVH etc.) to support delivery of MSO content to client expectations
  • Advise on product liability considerations, highlighting required evidence and risk mitigations.
  • Create and maintain certification evidence packs and technical files.
  • Plan, coordinate and perform individual vehicle inspections and conformity checks.
  • Define certification test requirements and witness plans; coordinate testing with suppliers and test houses.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and third party test houses to secure approvals and resolve queries.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory changes and communicate their impact on active projects.
  • Drive closure of certification related concerns with appropriate evidence.


What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or related engineering discipline.
  • Some experience in vehicle certification, homologation or regulatory engineering.
  • Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks (UNECE, FMVSS, ADR, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret test reports and translate results into engineering actions.
  • Strong documentation discipline and comfort with traceability.
  • Clear communicator able to explain regulatory nuance without ambiguity.
  • Organised and steady under pressure.
