Purpose of Role

Reporting to the Business Change Manager, this presents an exciting opportunity to an individual, who wants to drive significant impact on the way logistics is considered within McLaren Automotive, and is dedicated to the future growth of the business. The attributes of this role mean that the individual is expected to work under their own initiative using influence across the organization to implement change within a high-pressured environment and in line with the task landscape to ensure success.


The Senior supports the Business Change Manager with applying a best-practice approach to business change through the development and deployment of multiple business change initiatives within Logistics.


They will be part of a team that continues to improve on overall delivery of material to business plan.


They will need awareness of what drives change. Can effectively communicate to their manager and positively promote the reason for change.


The ultimate aim to be part of the team that designs the very best Inventory optimisation and parts availability to production with the lowest spend whilst delivering in the most efficient and effective manner in order to achieve customer satisfaction and commercial business objectives. 

Principal Accountabilities

Principal accountabilities:


1.       You will lead and be part of the team that will be delivering change within multiple Logistics teams to improve efficiency and cost benefit within supply chain.

2.       You will share responsibility for identifying inefficient processes that can be transformed by automation solutions and reporting, whilst delivering effective change management, training and communication, to help the department achieve its long-term business plan.

3.       Ensure the roadmap is prioritised by collaborating with stakeholders to identify business needs, time consuming processes and quick wins.

4.       Continually review the established roadmap to ensure it is aligned to the businesses changing and challenging environment.

5.       You will contribute to change and cost reduction activities in Logistics Supply Chain.

6.       You will need to support identifying the root cause of a problem within Logistics and facilitate cross functional resolution with appropriate documentation.

7.       You must be able to lead and build/maintain collaborative relationships with your peers across all business areas. 

8.       Identify, analyse and suggest risk mitigation tactics to reduce and maintain minimal Inventory

9.       Working closely with your manager & Purchasing to ensure implementation and maintenance of supplier nomination framework

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Change management experience
  • Good knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools 
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain  
  • Strong project management experience
  • Experience in analysing and interpreting data 
  • Proven communication skills (written and verbal)  
  • IT literate (Microsoft applications, SAP, Business Object, SharePoint, etc)  
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills 
  • Basic knowledge of budget control
  • Business Knowledge

·         Solid understanding of supply chain within similar industry.

·         Solid understanding of complete Internal supply chain.
