Purpose of Role
Purpose of the role: As an Assistant Project Engineer you will be responsible for supporting system specification DFMEA BoM management validation planning test specification and on vehicle verification & validation. For your systems you will be responsible for delivering all required elements of the McLaren Development Process (MDP) to agreed gateway timings & cost. You will have multi system multi vehicle responsibility and will help shape the vehicle electrical architecture. You will report to the Senior Engineer within the team who will develop these skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Knowledge skills & experience: Degree qualified in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Automotive Engineering Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience. A valid UK driving licence. Desirable skills: Experience in body electronics Experience or basic understanding of ADAS or autonomous systems Basic knowledge of automotive software development and software development process Understanding of ISO26262 Functional Safety.
