Purpose of Role

Reporting to the Head of Electronic Programmes, the role involves working on all aspects of programme planning within the Electric & System Controls Department and deliver Project management and development of new electronics and control technology from idea generation through to completed concept ready for integration into a vehicle project.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Work cross-functionally to manage project scope, resource, timing, and budgets
  • Project initiation, planning, execution in adherence with McLaren project management methodology
  • Tracking and monitoring Engineering processes – ensure McLaren engineering processes are followed (Risk assessment, DFMEA, Specification)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Degree level education in a relevant Engineering discipline – electronic, mechanical, automotive, motorsport etc.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical design fundamentals
  • Great attention to detail and an attitude to produce ‘right first time’ quality work
