Purpose of Role

As the Series Project Engineer you will be responsible for working across the various functions within the Body Systems Engineering organisation to ensure the on time and successful delivery of our department goals.

This is a hybrid position, you will be required to work on site 3 days a week.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Working with the core engineering teams to support 'Engineering Release'
  • Working with Engineering & Production operations to lead the design and development of systems and to ensure optimised vehicle performance and customer satisfaction
  • Supporting Product Data Management
  • Defining Product Structure & Engineering Records
  • Managing the recording, root cause analysis and resolution of all concerns raised during development builds
  • Maintaining design guides, technical specifications, and test specifications.
  • Training and supporting support engineers in our procedures and practices for events
  • Working with the supply chain in association with the Supply Chain Management team to ensure delivery of components and spares on schedule for all program phases
  • Providing coordination and manage engineering defined test plans (DVP)
  • Providing support for some CAD related design work and checking of CAD
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Ideally educated to degree level in an Engineering or Production environment discipline
  • Previous experience in a Production or OEM environment is desirable
  • Commercial Awareness, understanding of 'Business Case', profit etc.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to lead and motivate within a small focused team and work collaboratively across functions.
  • Engineering experience preferred but not essential.
  • Able to adopt a creative and thoughtful approach to concept design and solving engineering problems with good attention to detail.
