Purpose of Role

The Project Engineer will be responsible for working across the various functions within the Motorsport organisation to ensure the on time and successful delivery of our Motorsport Vehicles

Principal Accountabilities
  • Working with the core engineering teams to support 'Engineering Release'
  • Work with Engineering & Production operations to lead the design and development of systems and to ensure optimised vehicle performance and customer satisfaction
  • Support Product Data Management
  • Define Product Structure & Engineering Records
  • Manage the recording, root cause analysis and resolution of all concerns raised during development builds
  • Maintain design guides, technical specifications, and test specifications.
  • Training and supporting support engineers in our procedures and practices for events
  • Work with the supply chain in association with the Supply Chain Management team to ensure delivery of components and spares on schedule for all program phases
  • Provide coordination and manage engineering defined test plans (DVP)
  • Provide support for some CAD related design work and checking of CAD
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  •  Educated to degree level in an Engineering or Motorsport discipline
  • Previous experience in a Motorsport or OEM environment
  • Commercial Awareness, understanding of 'Business Case', profit etc.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to lead and motivate within a small focused team and work collaboratively across functions.
  • Race Car Engineering experience preferred but not essential.
  • Able to adopt a creative and thoughtful approach to concept design and solving engineering problems with good attention to detail.
  • Open to approach problems that are outside of usual comfort zone.
  • Well organised and delivery focused - Demonstrable track record of on-time delivery in a high pressure environment.
