This exciting and demanding role requires the development and enhancement of the financial services strategy and business model for both wholesale and retail sales across global markets.

The role supports the global McLaren Sales & Marketing teams and includes working with global dealers and finance service providers. 

The role will lead the on-going development of a tailored financial service product suit specific for each market with globally consistent processes controls and reporting. 

Fundamentally this is a key leadership role to develop and enhance our financial service solutions and business performance to maximise sales increase customer retention and mitigate any future risk or exposure.
Principal Accountabilities
Develop and enhance the global strategy for McLaren Financial Services with implementation across McLaren’s core global markets 
Manage and lead the Financial Services Governance Process and Committee 
Manage lease program approval process including RV/MRM setting and full-circle loss mitigation measures with regions 
Set and steer monthly KPI performance management of market specific lease portfolios and off-lease process 
Maintain a thorough understanding of market developments including interest rates RV’s competitive benchmarking etc. 
Implement strategic measures that reduce RV risk increase pre-owned values and create a balanced & healthy portfolio 
Work to establish market specific customer lease end journeys to secure long-term customer retention 
Collaborate with key regions and central stakeholders from Product Management Pricing Strategy Pre-Owned Management Commercial Operations Finance Treasury and Marketing to drive key FS initiatives 
Maximise the support for new and used car sales across the global network including MFS campaign management 
Maximise retail sales with MFS products and services by achieving retail penetration targets 
Build long term relationships with financial solutions partners and look for new opportunities to enhance strategy 
Develop MFS control and reporting systems 
Maximise divisional profitability 
Minimise product losses and potential liabilities Lead ongoing performance management and reporting 
Grow manage and lead a team of global MFS managers
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Finance or similar discipline 
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in automotive OEM Significant demonstrable experience of running Financial Services operations 
Up-to-date knowledge and experience of the global financial services product market 
Demonstrable experience of dealer operations and practices in different markets for new and used cars 
Experienced in dealer and Finance House negotiations In-depth understanding of underwriting and general risk / compliance policies in each market 
Excellent understanding of residual value setting and practices to protect and enhance residual values 
Ability to operate at Board level (presentations strategic direction setting) Strong leadership experience and capability
Personal Attributes
Highly numerate and analytical with a clear view of the big picture and an aptitude for strategic thinking and organisational capability 
Strong influencing skills with the ability to operate at senior level and with cross-functional teams 
Ability to move between short- and long-term activities with ease and absorb ideas and tasks quickly
A completer-finisher who has a mindset around seeing projects tasks and ideas through to a quality conclusion Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on ability to deliver 
Excellent influencing communication and negotiation skills 
Confident with offering constructive challenge to all concerning financial or commercial ideas 
Ability to manage by influence in a matrix environment 
Strong commercial awareness
