We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Operations Analyst to join our Asia Pacific operations spanning from Japan Australasia South East Asia to North Asia. The role will be based in the Singapore office; where we are responsible for 17 retailers across the region. Purpose of the role: The Commercial Operations Analyst will act as the central point of contact for our regional sales teams & retailer network in Asia Pacific for all sales logistics & operational related issues. He/she will provide support throughout the entire vehicle sales process from initial order to final delivery of vehicles from UK to retailers or customers to ensure we efficiently and effectively deliver our monthly wholesale & retail targets.
Principal Accountabilities
Principal accountabilities: Lead monthly wholesale targeting and forecasting process back to UK global headquarters and regionally. Partner with sales logistics & finance to ensure sufficient trade finance limits & resolve all operational blockers to delivering monthly wholesale targets Manage end to end vehicle sales process starting from spec freeze to vehicle delivery in-market to retailer network or end-customers Operational Support: Provide day-to-day operational support spanning from invoicing to specification changes to regional sales teams and retailer network. Lead weekly Commercial Operations review calls with UK team to identify actions & promptly resolve any operational blockers Logistics: Coordinate with UK production & regional team to manage vehicle scheduling logistics quotes and delivery lead times into different markets in region Limited Series Product: Coordinate with sales planning & regional sales teams to manage deposit & VIN allocation ordering specification sessions (supported by UK McLaren Special Operations team) collection of payment to final logistics of car Press Car Fleet Management: Lead and manage online auction pricing & wholesale of press cars in key markets like Japan and Australia New Product Launches & Commercial Operations Updates Adapt global strategic objectives into operational plans (i.e. EX-Works delivery or normal INCO-terms delivery logistics of first cars) at a regional level Lead and manage first marketing launch cars movement from UK to different markets in region. Scope includes freight & ATA Carnet Arrangement Work closely with regional product & pricing function to devise go to market commercial launch strategy & develop new product/ product update briefing & communication packs to regional team and network Act as the regional lead for the roll-out of all systems & process related projects Support new dealer and market setup for Sales Ordering and Revenue Recognition processes within region. Train new dealers and new members on board team use of SAP & CFIT systems Implement process automation/improvement and systems integrations projects (such as SAP CFIT Customer Dynamics CRM data quality) to improve overall operational efficiencies and customer journey Support other commercial operations projects such as the change of inco-terms and invoicing process for new or existing markets Support monthly reporting requirements to local government agencies and used car agency – VFACTS Australia car care plan
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Knowledge skills & experience: Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Admin Economics Engineering or any equivalent field Fluent written & spoken English Experience with inter-regional communication & management is an advantage Experience with supply chain or logistics processes desirable Experience in Project Management and or multi-stakeholder management is an advantage
